It is very convenient to cook and cooks faster and better. Did not pre soak the dal and still it cooked nicely and resulted in a very creamy texture.

Tried the Toor Daal today. The first thing that struck me was the packaging – tastefully done on the outside and that delivered a clean and inviting legume on the inside. IBeing pre-washed, it is so clean that you can actually use it straight from the packet into the cooking vessel.
And when it cooked, it had that aroma that reminded me of the daal cooked at home when I was kid. We prepared it with our traditional home recipe and it came out really well as a creamy consistent accompaniment for both rice and roti.
It is an addition to our daily meal that we look forward to.
